Greenpoint Loft Wedding Maryanne+Chris
I don’t even know where to start with this one. I can say that it all started with a phone call from the grooms mother, who was really admiring a past wedding I did, and wanted to know all of the details about it, and was so excited about everything she saw. She followed up with an email, and passed my info along to Maryanne. From there, we sealed the deal and I got to document this story of two families that not only have a long history with each other, but with the neighborhood of Greenpoint itself. Chris is a third generation Greenpoint resident, and it just boggles my mind that I live in this city, and that I am the person that documented this story about a couple that has deep roots here, since I am all the way from California. Something about that really touched me, and I loved listening to Chris’ father, who knew the history of the building and told us all that it used to be a rope factory, and that all women had worked there, and gave such a great speech about all the contributions the women in his life have made, including his wife and new daughter in law. They were such a pleasure to work with, and I will never forget Maryanne’s kindness and hospitality, as she insisted on serving me dinner and making sure I got to try everything on the menu. Their whole family was so kind and gracious and it’s always such a pleasure to work with people like you Maryanne and Chris! Congratulations to you both, and wish you all the best!
