Camp Go Away
This is a little post about an awesome photo retreat I attended a couple of weeks back put on by my friends Chellise and Mike! They rounded up the troops, hooked up some rad accommodations at Cedar Lakes Estates located just a couple of hours out of the city, and invited a small crew of photographers to join them on a photo adventure! It was all very casual and relaxed, and a great opportunity to bond with old friends and make some new ones! It’s so easy to become isolated when you have your own business, since it’s often just me at my computer editing away, or out shooting when the time comes! It’s a lot for one person to navigate solo, and just having other friends that you can count on to answer questions, experiment with, and find new ways of working is invaluable. I’m so happy to now call these people my friends, and to have learned a few great things while hanging out with them on our little get away. Not only did we get to play with awesome analog cameras, and some fun instant film cameras, I also picked up a few tricks from one of the rad guys there Daniel Orren, who showed me about the double exposure function in my camera, as you can see I had fun with that! To boot, we got some gorgeous weather, that brought in this thick layer of fog that made for gorgeous photos, and I can’t wait to print some of these out! Thanks so much Chellise and Mike for making this happen!
